This walking chest featured a Japanese inspired design with tapered legs and a beveled slab top. The maple slab was from the clients property and contained a bullet and large crack. The crack was secured with 3 large cherry bow-ties. Client requested bark was left on.
Two of the legs are made from cherry while the other from maple. The chest included no glue dovetails for easy disassembly and reassemble during shipping. The torsion hinge is from Rockler, rated at 60lbs.
